A Piece of My Soul

Last week, I heard a talk in my laptop given by Hazrat ji Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad (DB),It was a brief yet powerful talk, triggering a lot of thoughts in my mind. Upon leaving,I sat on a bed for almost an hour and began to ponder, surrounded by nothing but nature. He began by explaining how Allah’s love for us is greater than that of a mother's love for her child. We are aware of how much our mothers love us and how their love is unconditional. No matter what we may do to displease them, they ultimately forgive us.Now consider how much we displease Allah, yet He still wakes us up each morning and provides us with the prospect of being a better person, of repenting. He gives us another chance to please Him. The love that Allah has for us is so much greater than we know. This is a vital notion, we fear Allah which we should, but sometimes we can forget that Allah loves us, that He is merciful, that we can repent and be forgiven, inshallah. The speaker used these metaphorical terms ‘all we have to do is take a few steps towards Him and He’ll come running towards us.’ When we make the effort to become closer to Allah, He makes the path easier for us. I have felt that, and I know it to be true.reaching this stage should have been tough. To let things go, to give things up, to completely change myself, yet Allah made it so easy for me, He paved the path for me and all I had to do was follow it. I knew where my heart wanted to be, where it belonged, in my mind all that mattered was that I wanted to be closer to Allah and He pulled me towards Him. Every action brought me closer, it felt so right and I wanted to continue down this beautiful path that had been laid out for me.As I was sitting listening to the speaker's words, I realized that I had already heard some of the things that he was saying, but somehow they had become lost in my mind. We can learn so much, yet implementing and maintaining these things can be difficult. Shaitaan is always trying to lead us astray; he distracts us from our purpose. Sometimes we become so immersed in our lives that we ultimately forget why we are even here. We forget who we are and what we are living for. I want to make sure that I remember Allah in everything that I do because without Him, none of this would be possible. These things that I have been blessed with are all from Him. Think about when someone wins an Oscar, they make long heartfelt speeches and thank the people that have helped them reach that point. Well everyday you are winning an Oscar and Allah is the one that you owe it all to, Everyday you are blessed with a brand new day, with time, with opportunity, with love, with happiness. Thank Allah.
