Tagore's poem where the the mind is without fear is a great poem thatalways inspires me so much. until and unless we destroy the domestic boundary, it is impossible to make our country heaven.
this is a graet poem which inspired me so much in my life. also teaches me the truth knowledge cannot be bounded, inspiration to me that go ahead you will at a time find your sucess.
this poem has been the one poem in my life that has brought a great impact in my life so far.this poem from a patriotic person as rabindranathji himself is a great plea for his country to wake up and see the changes that is taking place around the world and learn to enhance these changes so that one can develop itself. I respect the essence of what the poet is trying to convey to us from this small prayer of his. It is something we should all learn from so that our motherland can smile happily back to us. i thank him for this "masterpiece" (according to me)
I will try to write a poem thinking of these wonderfulwords in relation with what is happening in the world today. In todays society I feel all have lost their way. This writing would be so helpful to so many that have lost all hope. For in the eyes of freedom our country can awaken again.
"Where the mind is without fear" is a poem by which our country can get the freedom everybody wants. no terrorism, no prison by anybody only freedom and freedom .A man with depth in his thought and action. His eyes says most of the things which his speech MAY hide.A man of true spirit and highest wisdom. He was Rabindranath Tagore.......here this poem...
Where The Mind is Without Fear:
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake
Greatest writer in modern Indian literature, Bengali poet, novelist, educator, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913. Tagore was awarded the knighthood in 1915, but he surrendered it in 1919 as a protest against the Massacre of Amritsar, where British troops killed some 400 Indian demonstrators protesting colonial laws. Tagore's reputation in the West as a mystic has perhaps mislead his Western readers to ignore his role as a reformer and critic of colonialism.
"When one knows thee, then alien there is none, then no door is shut. Oh, grant me my prayer that I may never lose touch of the one in the play of the many." (from Gitanjali)
